Our customer and global market leader Ball Packaging has evaluated its largest logistics service providers, which offer warehouse services in addition to transportation services. WHEELS Logistics achieved the highest score of all suppliers and is therefore Ball’s top-rated supplier in the area of logistics in 2023. In addition, Ball presented WHEELS with the “Best Warehouse Service Provider 2023” award for the entire EMEA region.
It is particularly noteworthy that WHEELS has always achieved top ratings in the past and has been working with Ball for 25 years.

WHEELS provides numerous services for Ball. The Central European Warehouse (CEW) in the center of the Ruhr area, for example, is one of Ball’s largest warehouse locations worldwide with a capacity of up to 40,000 pallets. Every day, we handle up to 2,700 pallets here – the equivalent of around 17.5 million cans – 8,000 empties pallets and 350 layer-pallets (approx. 150,000 layer-pads).
The contract also includes numerous value-added services, such as washing, sorting and repairing the pallets as well as the individual creation of empties sets for the customer. We also sort around one million layer pads per month at CEW.
